Cold butter

Shortening

Buttermilk

Cup
Melted Salted Butter optional
1/2
Cup
Warm Water – optional/as needed
Instructions
Mix all the dry ingredients together including the yeast.
1 1/4 oz. Dry Active Yeast,
1 teaspoon sugar,
5 Cups flour,
3 tablespoon sugar,
5 teaspoons Baking Powder,
1 1/2 tsp. Salt,
1 tsp. Baking Soda,
1/2 Cup Cold butter,
1/2 Cup Shortening
Add buttermilk until a shaggy dough.
2 Cups Buttermilk,
1/2 Cup Warm Water – optional/as needed
Knead out some.
Roll out.
Cut as desired.
Bake
1/4 Cup Melted Salted Butter optional
425° for 17 to 25 minutes.
